Leona Lewis took the title of our favourite celebrity hairstyle of the year so far when she stepped out with this gorgeous fishtail braid. In fact, we fell so in love with the look we had to find out how to do it ourselves in time for the weekend and got straight on the phone to celebrity hair stylist Ben Cooke, who told us how he created the look from his A-list Chelsea based salon Lockenego.

STEP ONE: Gather your hair on one side of your head and roughly split into two even handfuls.
\r\n\r\n
STEP TWO: For a fishtail braid pull a small strand of hair from the bottom of one handful and bring it around to the top of other. Repeat this step using a strand from the other handful of hair, wrapping it around the opposite section. Keep repeating this step, alternating which hand you pick up the hair strand from each time, until there is no hair left in each hand.

STEP THREE: Tie the end of your braid with a clear elastic and pull out a few strands of hair here and there to give it a rough, tousled, bed-hair finish.
