Backstage Buzz: LFW Survival Kit

Want to know the products that the pro's use to get through Fashion Week? While Company’s Beauty Assistant, Samantha Flowers was backstage trend-spotting, she got the low-down on the products that the industry insiders putting the shows together couldn’t get through the week without...

"Neals Yard Beauty Sleep Concentrate, £30 makes me look like I’ve had a full eight hours even if it was more like four!"

"Couldn’t have got through it without lipbalm! And lots of it. I’m a lip biter when stressed and it was a pretty crazy few days so Palmers Coco Butter Lip Balm £1.73 was an essential for me."

"Weleda Skin Food, £8.50 mixed with a few drops of Aromatherapy Associates Fine Line Oil, £41.50 each night"

"Mini deodorant / perfume – so much running around, essential to keep fresh!"

"Bright red lippie – Max Factor Lipfinity Lasting Lip Tint in Berry Burst , £7.99 for instant glamour."

"Revlon Just Bitten Lipstains launching in June £7.99 helped me look uber-chic and classy when I was feeling anything but!"

And finally, our veteran backstage expert with 14 seasons under her belt bestowed this wise advice upon us...

"I take Wellness Formula tablets with garlic, Vitamin C and propolis before and during LFW as well as 1000mg of Vitamin C.
I go the supermarket before it all starts and buy kiddies healthy lunchbox size snacks, like mini packets of dried fruit, which I snack on to keep up my energy levels.
I also buy kids Innocent Smoothie juices.
I keep little packs of almonds in my bag to keep hunger at bay as well as apples / satsumas and oatcake biscuits as they’re slow release and keep you going.
Then when I’m really knackered… Diet Coke. I once heard some people backstage call it ‘The Dr’, because it makes you feel better’."
