You can choose to customise any one of their lashes with a rainbow of Swarovski crystals - try just a hint of sparkle by placing a few at the end of each lash, or really bling it up with a whole layer of them. The most expensive pair (with hundreds of multicoloured crystals) costs over £300 and are a one-off.
Haydn, one of Shu Uemura's fabulous make up artists, did my lash consultation and suggested I try their smokey layer lashes (full and sexy) with six gold crystals glinting in the corner of each eye. With our 'Black and Gold' theme Christmas party to go to, I knew these would seriously impress.
You pay for the lashes (from £12.50 a pair) and then add as many crystals as you like (it's £10 for every 10 you apply). My creation came to £29 which sounds pricey, but you can re-use the lashes (as long as they don't end up stuck to your cheek by the end of the night!) and then have them applied again for free at any Shu lash bar. The crystals don't add any weight to the lashes so it doesn't feel odd wearing them, plus they catch the light and attract lots of attention - a hot guy even asked me what I'd done to make my eyes sparkle so much! I'm planning to wear mine again on New Year's Eve and flutter them at a man I've had my eye on for ages - wish me luck!
