These days, thanks to a new breed of A-listers using their rich auburn locks to their advantage, red hair translates as fiery, confident and brimming with sex appeal, so much so that there\'s a new school of celebrities in town and their stars have never shone more brightly so take inspiration as we celebrate our favourite hotly-hued A-listers who have made red the new most lusted after hair colour around...

Nicola Roberts

As the youngest member of Girls Aloud, Nicola had a lot to contend with to make her mark in the world\'s biggest girl band but, unlike her bandmates, Nicola shunned the fake tan, bleach and extensions and stuck with her natural pale skin and red hair. Nicola is so keen to show girls that pale skin is just as beautiful (if not more so) as tanned complexions that she\'s released her own range of make up, Dainty Doll, specially formulated for very pale skin such as hers. Now Isla is back on the big screen playing the lead in Confessions of a Shopaholic, her trademark red hair no doubt playing a vital role in gaining her the part of the loud and lovable fashion obsessed Rebecca Bloomwood. Unlike many red heads Isla isn\'t afraid to mix colour with her vibrant hair and she\'s rarely seen in head to toe black, instead mixing bright colours to showcase her long layered locks.

Ok, so she\'s actually a natural brunette but Amy Adams\' hair had become so famous since she turned it red we just had to give her a mention. Enviously long with a slight wave Amy\'s deep red hair flatters her pale complexion down to a tee and adds sassy sophistication by the bucket load to her Jessica Rabbit curves. Grrr.
