I arrived tired and white from a pretty long flight and was instantly revived by my stylish, cool but very comfortable room overlooking the sea (- all the rooms overlook the sea by the way). I sank into the cloud-like bed, the only thought in my head being which of the three pools I would be jumping into in the morning.
As well as two restaurants each serving delicious food, a bar, a club and three pools, the hotel has a beautiful spa where you can hang out in the jacuzzi and sip champagne with the girls Sex and the City style, while waiting to be pampered! We treated ourselves to full body massages which left us barely able to hold our cocktail glasses up in the bar that evening, let alone hit the dance floor.
Tamassa has a very intimate vibe. The bar feels like a really exclusive private members bar on the beach and the young staff at the hotel are incredibly discreet, attentive and friendly. After reviving just enough to work our way through the cocktail list, we decided that Mauritius and namely Tamassa would be the number one destination for our annual girls holiday. Roll on next year!
