Festivals are the perfect time to get experimental with your hair and makeup - and no one knows this better than our fave cosmetics brand MAC, who are descending on the legendary Virgin Media Louder Lounge VIP area at the 2012 V Festival.
Not only will MAC be keeping celebs, performers and guests looking their best, but they'll also have their brushes ready backstage to keep the talent looking on top form - and with acts including The Killers, Snow Patrol, Nicki Minaj, Rita Ora, Emeli Sande and The Gossip, it's set to be one of the best line-ups yet.
We asked MAC Senior Artist Debbie Finnegan to share her top festival beauty rules to keep you looking good come rain or shine:
"Choose long wear formulas, this will help to increase the longevity of your make up and allow you to stay looking fresh. Opt for a foundation with an SPF if you are going to be outside all day. MAC Pro Longwear Foundation SPF10, will keep you protected. If you are looking for a little less coverage and just want a veil of colour, MAC Studio Moisture Tint Foundation SPF15 is the ideal base."
"I always like to pack a small touch up kit with consists of MAC Blot Powder, a lovely bright lipstick and MAC Demi Wipes - just in case you need to do a repair job after a rainstorm/disco nap. The MAC Cremeblend Blushers can double up as lip colour if you're in a hurry, my favourite is So Sweet So Easy."
"MAC Pro Longwear Lipglass is a superhero for girls that can't live without a shiny lip. Finally, finish off your look with a couple of coats of MAC Zoom Waterfast Mascara if you want to stand out form the crowd. Be on trend this Summer and try MAC Superslick Liquid Eyeliner; these sleek liquid liners come in a range of metallic shades and can be a playful addition to your makeup look."
Dean Rudd, MAC Senior Artist Manager, has taken inspiration from this year's Virgain Media Louder Lounge eccentric English village theme to create these four gorge looks to inspire guests:
