Add a coat of gold glitter polish to the entire nail - we used Boom Boom Pow by Deborah Lipmann

Add another coat of glitter to the nail excluding the third of the nail closest to the cuticle. When this is dry, add another slick of glitter to the third of the nail closest to the tip to really build the glitter 'fade' effect.
