Check out which ones made the cut...

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, £16.21 (250ml)

Dermalogica,Cleanser dermalogica special cleansing gel

This is my Holy Grail cleanser! It\'s very gentle and doesn\'t strip the skin of moisture but it does do a very thorough job of taking the day off and removing any pesky impurities - and being a Dermalogica product you know you\'re getting quality ingredients. You only need a small about (about the size of a 20 pence piece) and despite being soap-free it foams into a satisfying lather that leaves your skin clean and happy with none of that face-mask tightness some cleansers are responsible for.  5/5

This cleanser is packed full of skin goodies such as Soy Protein, Echinacea, Vitamin C and Japanese Green Tea and comes with the added benefit of a sponge to get rid of any evil impurities lying on your skin. The results of this face wash were amazing, my skin looked brighter, fresher and the odd blemish I normally get after a night out never appeared. It\'s really gentle so definitely one for sensitive skin. 4/5

Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser

Cleanser,Neutrogena neutrogena wave

This power cleanser has already launched un the US and there is nothing else like it on the market at the moment so I was intrigued as to whether the vibrations made from the little hand-held pink machine would actually make a difference to my congested skin. Immediately after using it my skin felt amazing and really clean and fresh as if I\'d just had a facial. The little round pads you stick onto the vibrating cleanser have a gorgeous mentholated foaming wash in them so you feel as if your skin is having a really good scrub. As well as the benefits it made to my complexion this is so easy to use, I used it in the shower and it was more fuss free than my normal face wash! 5/5

Liz Earle Hot Polish Cleanser, £12.25 (Starter Pack with 100ml pump and two muslin cloths)

Cleanser,Liz Earle liz earle hot polish cleanser

I\'d heard wonders about this cleanser which comes complete with a muslin cloth to exfoliate and steam clean your face. I was mid-breakout when I got my hands on this and it made such a difference to my skin it is probably the best cleanser I have ever used! I smoothed on the creamy cleanser first then ran the cloth under hot water and held it over my face to allow the cleanser to really penetrate my pores. The texture of the cloth is great for rubbing around oily, congested areas like the nose and forehead. My skin looks less oilier and so much smoother, I love this! 5/5

Dr Nick Lowe Sebum Control Cleanser, £9.95

Cleanser,Dr Nick Lowe dr nick lowe sebum control cleanser

Since using this cleanser my skin looks so much fresher and radiant as before it looked quite dull even after using an exfoliator. It\'s simple and non messy and leaves a gorgeous tingling sensation behind leaving your skin feeling squeaky clean. My skin feels so much firmer and softer and it really glows! So much so that I didn\'t apply any make up this morning to disguise my new fresh face. 4/5

Nivea Oxygen Power Reviving Cleansing Gel, £7.99

Nivea,Cleanser nivea visage oxygen cleanser

This cleansing gel smelt amazing! A great pick-me-up on a morning and I loved the little bubbles in it which burst on contact with my skin. I normally use a cream cleanser as I have combination skin so I was worried this one would dry my cheeks and chin out but it didn\'t at all. Instead I was left with fresh looking skin and I even got a couple of compliments on how good I looked at work. Bonus! 5/5

Clean Skin Foaming Cleanser, £8

Cleanser,Good Skin good skin

I found this cleanser quite drying when I first started using it but it did have a good effect on my skin. My nose is usually quite greasy and red but after using this wash for a couple of days I definitely saw a marked improvement. Other areas of my skin did feel quite dry though probably not helped with the cold weather so I\'d definitely recommend this wash for anyone with oily congested skin. 3/5
