Very nifty little product. The curler heats up in 15 seconds, then you simply comb slowly through your lashes as you would a mascara, holding for a couple of seconds for extra effect. My lashes definitely looked more uplifted after use. The size of a pen, it\'s a perfect addition to your other handbag beauty essentials. 8.5/10

M.A.C eyelash curlers, £12

Classic silver look. Check.  Easy to use. Check.  Creates strikingly curled lashes. Check.  These M.A.C curlers reach the lash root with ease and instantly open the eye by creating a full curl giving eyes a brighter and fresher look. 9/10

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers, £17

Shu Uemura is generally acknowledged as the leading light in eyelashes, fake or otherwise, so it was with great enthusiasm that I tested these curlers. I guess I\'m lucky in that my lashes don\'t need a lot of curling and I used to think that eyelash curlers were a bit pointless, really. Until now. They may look like modern torture instruments, but my lashes were certainly curvier than ever before - I\'m a convert 9/10

The Body Shop eyelash curlers, £5

These eyelash curlers from high street fave The Body Shop feel lightweight and the cushioned plastic handles are quite comfy on the fingers.  Easy to use, these give you very subtle curls and wont rip out any of your precious lashes 7.5/10

This is a make up tool with a difference. The super mini head lets you get to each individual lash leaving you with a full set of perfectly groomed eyes. 7/10
