Frizz Ease Thermal Protection Serum, £5.98

Looking at the bottle (it\'s orange) I was intrigued as to whether this was actually going to be warm when I applied it. It wasn\'t but it definitely had a nourishing effect on my hair. The pump action bottle was easy to use with clear instructions on the back - and with this serum you can use it either on damp or dry hair, so it fits in with your own routine. It smelt nice and, although it was runnier than I expected it was easy to use and left my hair feeling softer and smelling nice.

Paul Mitchell Smoothing Super Skinny Relaxing Balm, £12

Many people have combination skin, but I have combination hair - normal in some parts, dry as a bone in others. Most serums end up making the normal parts of my hair greasy and my dry parts better than normal, but this balm leaves my hair all around silky smooth - not greasy - and has tamed my dry, frizzy hair like no other. Brilliant smell and not too sticky either. I love it! 4/5

Bed Head Control Freak Serum, £9.18

Like all Bed Head products this serum smelled great and wasn\'t as greasy as some other brands I\'ve tried. I used the minimal amount and the result was shiny non frizzy hair that smelt pretty darn good too! 5/5

Trevor Sorbie Shine Serum, £6.99

I applied some of this serum before my blow dry and afterwards as well to smooth and I was really pleased with the results. At last I think I may have found a product I can use on my thick fluffy hair that makes it smooth but not greasy! My hair felt soft and shiny, love it! 5/5

Wella System Professional Gloss On Serum, £16.50

I loved loved this serum! I\'m not normally a fan as I find them a bit too heavy for my hair but this was so light and it made my hair look so shiny and healthy as if I\'d just been to the hairdressers! I\'m definitely converted. 5/5

Kerastase Nutri-Sculpt Serum, £16.60

You naturally expect glossy, luxuriant and wow-factor things from a Kerastase product, and it\'s Nutri-Sculpt serum doesn\'t disappoint. I\'m a bit of a hair serum junkie and have been making my way through a large portion of the serum population attempting to find \'the one\' - and this could be it. It\'s a very rich serum so use sparingly, a couple of drops was all I needed for a decent, nourishing dose and I\'ve got very long hair. Simply rub a couple of drops into your hands, work through the ends and then run your fingers through your hair a few times and you\'re left with super-shiny, silky  -  and tangle-free - tresses and a very good hair day ahead. Worth a bit of a splurge! 5/5

GHD Shining Serum, £12.95

I loved this serum, it smelt great, just like coconuts. The texture is perfect for anyone who hates the greasiness of serums as this is more of a cream which made it light and easy to use. I smoothed some on before using my straighteners and my hair was left looking really shiny. 5/5

Angel Fish Sleek Fish Smoothing Serum, £4.49

I loved this serum it has an amazing coconut smell just like holidays and it definitely made a different to my hair. I smoothed a bit on my dry ends and on some strands and my hair looked much shinier and healthier. 3/5

Boots Botanics Infusion hair Shine Serum, £3.99

It just goes to show that you don\'t have to spend a fortune on some products fro them to still do the job as I was very pleasantly surprised with this one. My hair felt soft after using it and it was definitely less frizzy. I would definitely buy this if only for the lovely sweet, fresh smell! 3/5
