‘I was testing the Clinique Body Tinted Lotion, light/medium. It came with lots of really useful detailed info on how to apply it, whilst avoiding those give-away tan hands.

It was really nice to use, and had a brown cream texture so you could see where it had rubbed in and it didn\'t have that lingering biscuit smell that so many of the fake tans have. I would definitely buy this again!\'

‘I was really impressed with St Tropez Perfect Legs. The product benefits from building up a gradual tan that will last, whilst revealing an instant tan that immediately banishes pasty white legs! Both reveal a gorgeous colour. The instant tan gives a gorgeous, sunkissed tan that I\'d long for but never achieve from a couple of weeks in the sun, whilst the gradual tan gives a really natural colour that builds up nicely whilst not leaving any nasty streak marks, like some gradual tanning products. Make sure you don\'t apply Instant Tan immediately after applying Gradual Tan Lotion; leave the Gradual Tan to dry in for a few minutes first.

What I loved the most was that it doesn\'t have that horrible cooking smell or leave your skin feeling clammy and sweaty after applying. You don\'t actually need that much product, a little goes a long way which is good seeing as the bottle is divided in two and it\'s the cheapest, but I would definitely invest again!\'

It\'s much easier to apply than tanning creams, I just moisturised after showering then shoosh, shoosh ready to go, it couldn\'t be easier! I was also thrilled that it didn\'t stain my bed linen whilst it developed over night! And it smelt lovely...bonus!\'

\'I was testing the Xen Tan Deep Bronze Luxe Once a Week Self-tan. It\'s not one I had used before but I\'m really pleased with it; although it was quite scary to use as it looked like green sludge but this did help with ensuing an even coverage, so don\'t be put off! It smelt amazing, of vanilla and wasn\'t at all greasy. And the best bit is, like it says, only needs to be applied once a week which is so convenient. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly as it stains quite easily.\'

\'I\'ve been testing the new and innovative Piz Buin Self Tanning Lotion + Colour Dial. You need to take a few days to work out what colour is best for you with the turning colour dial and admittedly I was a bit scared the first time round, so I used a light dial and to be honest I hardly noticed a difference. So I cranked it up a notch on the dial and now I\'m really seeing the bronzed difference after a couple of applications! It\'s easy to use, smells gorgeous and I would definitely recommend this to others.\'

‘Johnson\'s Holiday Skin body lotion is my new favourite. It\'s the perfect option if you just want a really gradual tan without spending lots of money; it\'s honestly just like putting on your daily dose of moisturizer. A little goes a long way, so don\'t squeeze out a huge blob and end up with more than you need. The best thing about this product is that you can slather it on if you\'re in a rush and I didn\'t notice any streaking. If a quick-fix overnight tan is what you\'re after, it\'s brilliant.
It was a nice consistency, soaking into the skin easily and didn\'t leave your hands sticky or oily. It has a nice fresh fragrance to start with but later in the day you do catch a whiff of that unmistakable fake tan, biscuit-smell. It\'s not enough to put you off but it would be nicer with a longer-lasting fresh fragrance.\'

‘When I first put some of the Fake Bake Original Self-Tan Lotion in my hands it felt really thick, but actually on application it was really runny and rubbed in easily. It also looked scarily dark - I thought I was going to turn black but thankfully I didn\'t! At first it smelt a bit funny, slightly chemically, but I got used to it really quickly and it wasn\'t bad enough to put me off. My advice would be, a little goes a long way, so don\'t get too excited and squirt loads out at once!\'

It\'s really creamy which is great as it\'s given me super soft, honey coloured skin and I\'m a particular fan as it\'s a gradual tanner so you get to build up a tan that suits you. The only thing I would suggest is that it\'s better suited to the evening than the day as it does leave a very golden shimmer!\'

‘I\'ve been testing No7 Quick Dry Body Spray, which was very easy to use with instant results. You literally just hold the can about 20cm away from your skin and spray making sure you apply evenly. I recommend using a make-up sponge to blot the tanner onto your face. It\'s great value for money and I\'d definitely use it again!\'

‘Dove Summer Glow is perfect for those with fair skin, just like me, as it\'s more like a moisturiser than a fake tan. You will after about 3 days of using it start to develop a really golden glow, but it\'s not too full on like some fake tans so you won\'t feel like you stand out! It\'s a great option for those of you that don\'t fake tan often; it smells great and didn\'t leave any tell-tale marks, although I was careful around my elbows and knees!\'
