Cheryl Cole reveals that she is scared of cotton wool

It looks like the people promoting the new Girls Aloud book, 'Dreams That Glitter', are starting to scrape the barrel when it comes to picking choice quotes from the forthcoming tome.

After exciting revelations about Cheryl's plans for babies being thwarted by Ashley cheating on her, we get this riveting news - Cheryl is frightened of cotton wool.

Hardly a Hold The Front Page moment, is it?

Cheryl says: "I hate cotton wool. I went to the dentist the other day and he put it in my mouth and I felt violated for the whole day.

"I never use it, not for taking make-up off or anything. Even when I get my nails done they use tissues. Just the feel of it... it squeaks. Urgh. I can’t bear it."
