So far 2011 has given us some bright shiny new acts in the form of pop, dub step and grime, but what we really need now is a band to dance, weep and rock out too....
Meet The Boxer Rebellion.
After a touch-and-go first album peppered with all forms of bad luck, the four piece showed their determination and gusto by bravely self-releasing a second album which not only caught the attention of producers looking for a beautiful soundtrack for Drew Barrymore's new flick, but also gained them credible accreditation in the form of iTunes Alternative Album of the year.
Now that the lads have just completed album number three, they seem to have confidently found their sound, and what a sound it is. Beautiful heart-wrenching melodies that build and build into stunning climax's layered with Nathan's flawless voice. If you love the intimacy of Radiohead, the beauty and fearlessness of Elbow and the guitars of the Killers, then these cheekbone-chiseled gentlemen are right up your street.
Company's Cat Dal grabbed her camera and sauntered down to the London venue ahead of the launch of The Cold Still to exclusively chat to Aussie Todd, American Nathan and Englishmen Adam and Piers about the album, grooming, going to Premiers and Jack Black.
