This summer's most-played clubbing anthem Release Me was the first track from Swedish pop sensation Agnes. We're already loving her new single I Need You Now so we're sure it's going storm the charts this week. Company were lucky enough to catch up with her to ask what it's like to become such a massive star ...
What's been your biggest splurge so far?
I love to shop. I love clothes and jewellery. But with my first pay cheque I was sensible and bought a new laptop - I don't leave home without my Mac!
When did you realise you were becoming a big star?
I was performing in Morocco but had no idea that it was to a crowd of 200,000 people. I was on the stage and everyone was singing back at me and I was like ‘this is cool'!
What's been your most glam moment of the year?
We filmed the video for I Need You Now in the desert just outside LA and I was wearing a Roberto Cavalli. I loved that dress.
Where in the world do you like performing the most?
I love Paris, but what girl doesn't? I also always like being here in London - it's got a great vibe and I love Topshop so I always head straight there when I land.
Who would be your dream collaborator?
I think Wycliffe Jean is really cool - I'd be keen to do something with him and I also really love James Morrison's voice - he's amazing!
Any strange fan moments?
All my fans are great but I was in a gay club in the States recently and there was guy in the front row screaming "I want to born your babies"! It made me laugh.
Best thing to happen recently?
I popped back to Sweden for a few days and while I was there I was surprised with two awards - so that was amazing!
What advice would you give to someone starting out?
Trust your gut feeling. I've generally found if you feel something is wrong then it normally is. But if you believe in yourself then it'll all be ok.
