We rocked out at T4's Stars Of 2009

we rocked out at t4 s stars of 2009

If you caught T4's Stars of 2009 on TV yesterday you'll know how great a gig it was. We had so much fun there and it was two hours of amazing performances from the likes of Alexandra, to Florence And The Machine to JLS, who covered us in millions of red heart-shaped pieces of confetti when they sang their smash hit Everybody In Love.

We chatted to the celebs backstage and getting in the festive spirit (well those Coke adverts are on telly now) we decided to ask them about their best and worst Xmas presents...

Florence (of Florence And The Machine) has found that even when you choose the present yourself, you can be left disappointed. "I bought an acoustic guitar and have discovered, from years of trying to learn it, that I just can't do it. Piano and drums, no problem, but guitar no. I loved it when my dad got me a musical tiger that dances and sings in a pair of red Ray-Bans. Apparently it reminded him of me!"

Paloma Faith (who incidentally admitted to regularly getting to feel JLS's chests because they're on the same label, lucky girl) said she'd like Andre 3000 from OutKast in her Christmas stocking which would be much better than the camping set she was once given...

"My worst present ever was this camping device with a compass, light, fan and anti-mosquito thing in it. It was from somebody's uncle and one of those things you buy for old people! I don't have a television, but I love films, I can't get enough of them, so I wish I'd got a DVD instead!"

Rising star, Example doesn't want pants in his stocking. "They're definitely the worst, people give you pants all the time. My best present ever is going to be in a few weeks time. My mum has bought me swimming with dolphins for when I go to Australia!"

Jamie Afro doesn't like big presents that disappoint. "The worst present ever was sheets. It came in a big box and I thought ‘This is going to be amazing!' Then I was like ‘Oohhhhhh...' but pretended I loved them anyway. You've got to haven't you?!"

Matt Littler and Darren Jeffries a.k.a Max and OB from Hollyoaks (yes we were (embarrassingly) very excited too) were enjoying the backstage area with The Saturdays and were compiling their Christmas wish lists "I'd like a new back pack and night vision goggles, just because" said Matt while Darren shouted that he'd like new underwear...

And finally we asked hot new talent Ke$ha for her fail-safe tip for the party season. "Glitter is the way forward this Christmas!" she advised. She was also sporting some fab boots she'd studded herself. We were impressed!

Here are some other snaps of the day...

The Saturdays looking as gorgeous as ever!

Rick Edwards dressed up as a very scary looking Lady GaGa, seriously his manhood must have been very VERY squashed, we couldn't see much...

Kasabian rocked Earls Court in true style
