Last night Company joined Plan B, Laura Whitmore and Company columnists Gizzi, Jamella and Gemma Cairney with a range of TV stars old and new to celebrate the launch of Virgin Media TV powered by TiVo.
The new TV service set to revolutionise the way people discover and enjoy the best of the box by intelligently learning your TV preferences and recording your fave shows (remember the episode of SATC when Miranda replaces Stevo with her TiVo?)
Held at Virgin Medias new private members club Our House in Londons Soho each room was designed to reflect some of the TV shows available through the new service. First we were transported to Corries pub with Julie Goodyear (AKA Bet Lynch who matched our Deputy Editor in head-to-toe leopard print) on hand to pour the ale.
Game show legends Les Dennis and Keith Chegwin led partygoers in the Game Show Room with old favourites such as Bullseye, Play Your Cards Right and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Elsewhere it was a case of reality TV gold colliding, as the stars of The Only Way is Essex hosted a room dedicated to the UKs latest viewing obsessions the Strictly Big Fat Essex Room. Guests enjoyed the chance to delve into a themed dressing up box against a backdrop of all things pink and sparkly.
After sipping a few too many cocktails such as Carries Cosmo mixed by the Britains Got Talent Bar Wizards, we all indulged our guilty pleasures as DJ Sean Rowley played a host of amazing TV theme tunes before tottering home. A night of TV has never been so good!
