It's one thing to go for quirky and original wear but just because something is unusual doesn't necessarily mean it's imbued with quirky-fabulousness that will mark you out as a brave fashion leader. It is quite possible for something to be original and without an ounce of quirk where it's uniqueness stems entirely from the fact that the garment is essentially hideous and to make any more of them would be deeply unwise.
