Angelia Jolie admits that 'fidelity is not essential' and that 'sparks fly' during arguments with boyfriend Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie has opened up about life with long-term partner Brad Pitt, and as always with the non-conformist Hollywood actress, she has a very different outlook on relationships from the rest of us.
The 34-year-old 'Changeling' star, who met dashing Pitt on the set of 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' back in 2005 while he was still married to actress Jennifer Aniston, has admitted that she believes in open romances over monogamous ones, as long as the other partner agrees.
Jolie, who raises six children with long-term partner Pitt, told Das Neue magazine: "I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It's worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards."
If we'd managed to bag the luscious Pitt as our boyfriend, we'd be reluctant to ever let him out of our sight.
But not so for Ange...
The actress continued: "Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other."
Beautiful Jolie, who has 18-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne and three-year-old Shiloh with Pitt, and also raises adopted children Maddox, 9, four-year-old Zahara, and Pax, 6, also discussed their occasionally fiery relationship.
She confessed: "The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he's wrong and reacts in a defiant way. Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt."
Sounds a little patronising to us. But after that admission, we'd be too afraid to say that to Angie's gorgeous face
