Ashley Cole is becoming more and more unpopular by the minute (if that's even possible). The Chelsea footballer could be showing himself to be, not only an alleged philanderer, but also a hypocrite, if reports that he argued with wife Cheryl over her working relationship with Black Eyed Pea Will.I.Am are to be believed.
It's being claimed that weeks before Cheryl announced her separation from Ashley following his alleged affairs with up to four women, he told the singer that he was "sick" of the attention she received from the US hip hop star and songwriter.
Will.I.Am, who produced Cheryl's album '3 Words' and picked the former Girls Aloud singer to star in his 'Heartbreaker' video in 2008, said over the weekend: "I'd move to London if it meant being with her[Cheryl]. She's a beautiful girl. I can't wait to hang out with her more."
But he could be meaning it in purely the professional sense, of course.
A source said: "Will.I.Am's comments about his wife are not news or a surprise to Ashley. He and Cheryl rowed about it last year. She's done absolutely nothing wrong but Ashley's sick of this man openly making advances toward his missus."
Meanwhile, it's also being reported that Cheryl has rejected Ashley's attempts at crisis talks following his return from the injury clinic in France. The 26-year-old has reportedly kicked the 29-year-old Chelsea star out of their Surrey mansion and is currently consulting top lawyer, Fiona Shackleton (lawyer to Paul McCartney and Madonna), over divorce proceedings.
Conflicting reports this afternoon, however, have claimed that Ashley popped over to their marital home to give her a personal 'get well soon' message while she is currently bed-bound with bronchitis.
A source told the MailOnline: "Ashley's friends had told him thow sick she was and he was worried and said he wanted to see her and wish her better."
Apparently Cheryl's mother Joan was away at the time.
