'Gossip' singer Beth Ditto gave the plus-size models a run for their money as she strutted her stuff on the catwalk for Jean-Paul Gaultier's spring/summer 2011 ready-to-wear show at Paris Fashion Week over the weekend.
The 28-year-old star, who has her own plus-size fashion line for high street store Evans, strutted her stuff in a specially made tight floral creation after opening the show with an a cappella performance of one of her band's hits.
And size 28 singer certainly pushed the boundaries of plus-size models, who are usually a size 14-16, and contributed to a punk-infused show which saw a series of models in Joan Jett wigs and clothes which were on trend with the punk collections showcased earlier this week at Balmain and Balenciaga.
The invitation to Gaultier's show revealed that it would explore the contrast between XXL and XXS although, besides Beth and one other plus-size model, the rest were predictably size-zero waifs.
At the end of the show, Beth was embraced by Gaultier, who donned the frontwoman's band t-shirt, and handed a bunch of pink roses.
Beth's second collection for Evans is set to hit the shelves later this month.
