Congratulations to A- list couple Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z who have just welcomed their first child!
Beyonce reportedly gave birth to a baby girl named Blue Ivy Carter via caesarean section at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City last night.
Gwyneth Paltrow, one of the couple's best friends, confirmed the arrival of their baby on Twitter, tweeting: 'Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already.'
Younger sister of Beyonce, Solange Knowles also tweeted: 'The most beautiful girl in the world.', while Jay-Z's protegee Rihanna also posted a tweet saying: 'Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.'
There has been speculation that the name 'Ivy' is connected to the couple's love of the number 4 (April 4, was their wedding date, Beyoncé's latest album is called 4 and the couple have the same tattoo of roman numeral for 4 - IV - on their ring fingers.)
There has been no official comment from the couple, but we wanted to be among the first to say congratulations!
