If you ever thought that any of Angelina Jolie's red carpet frocks were absolutely stunning or an utter fashion disaster, you can now officially applaud/blame the star's long-term beau Brad Pitt.
For it is the 47-year-old Hollywood heartthrob who selects all of the gowns that 36-year-old The Tourist actress dons at star-studded ceremonies.
A fashion expert who dresses Angelina has confirmed that it's Brad who choses the fashionable trousers/dresses in their relationship, and that he even picked the famous back-to-front dress Angelina wore at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards in January, 2009 [pictured].
Speaking about that particular dress fitting, Lubov Azria, chief creative officer of BCBG Max Azria Group, said:
"We were going to dress Angelina Jolie and we had a choice of three gowns with us. When we got there, she said she wanted Brad to pick. There's usually a staff of 10 people who all have an opinion. But Brad was very decisive.
"He's an architect and likes geometric things. He chose the dress that everyone thought was backwards, and it was. He likes boat necks - that's all she wears."
The star caused quite a reaction when she wore the Max Azria gown backwards at the event, with many thinking she'd made a mistake.
But Angelina's stylist said it was completely deliberate, adding that she wanted to make the dress "more blouson."
Meanwhile, the mother-of-six has confessed that when it comes to fashion, she often choses comfort over style and doesn't like to experiment with too many colours, adding:
"I don't think too much about what to wear on the red carpet. I usually have three basic colours and I get the same shapes in different colours!
"But I like to get dressed up and feel like a lady every once in a while."
