Cheryl Cole heads to LA
Cheryl Cole heads off to LA following Brits performance and travels without wedding ring spurring marriage crisis rumours after Ashley Cole allegations
Cheryl Cole arrived at Heathrow airport this morning to catch a flight to LA, just 12 hours after her show-stopping performance at the Brit Awards last night and more importantly, without her wedding ring.
The 26-year-old star, who was wearing another ring instead of her £160,000 wedding sparkler, fuelled speculation that her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole is in crisis. Earlier this week it had been alleged that the Chelsea star had slept with a blonde secretary after bombarding her with sexual text messages. But Cherly but on a brave face and a triumphant performance at the Brit Awards yesterday.
But Cheryl's spokesperson was quick to rubbish rumours and defend her trip to the US by claiming: "Cheryl Cole is going to America for writing and recording sessions. This is a session that was scheduled last month. She is away for a week. We have no further comment to make."
There is also speculation that the former Girls Aloud star, who performed her No.1 hit 'Fight For This Love' at the Brits last night but missed out on the award for Best Single to JLS, could be off to the States to pay fellow WAG Victoria Beckham a visit. Posh offered her support to Cheryl after the singer-turned-designer famously faced claims that husband David Beckham cheated on her with Rebecca Loos back in 2004.
Cheryl has remained tight-lipped so far over allegations of her husband's infidelity, dating back to 2007 when it was alleged that he slept with hairdresser Aimee Walton.
But perhaps she'll make an announcement once she returns...
