Cheryl Cole, you do disappoint us sometimes. The X Factor judges has spoken about her wayward ex-husband Ashley Cole and confessed that she'll "always love" him.
The 27-year-old star divorced the Chelsea footballer last September following fresh allegations of his infidelities with a string of women.
But despite the 29-year-old sporting star's betrayal, Cheryl has told Heat magazine: "I will always love him, always. He's a big part of my life. I don't think he ever wanted to let it go. We had a great relationship. He was my best friend.
"For me, it's not my past, it's very much my present. We were meant for each other."
Reports that Ashley had cheated on the Promise This singer first emerged in January 2008, with allegations that he had slept with hairdresser Aimee Walton after a drunken night out.
The pair split, but Cheryl swiftly took him back, before finally separating last February after more lurid claims were exposed in numerous tabloids.
And despite rumours she was planning to get her Mrs C tattoo removed from the back of her neck, which she had inked to commemorate their wedding in 2006, the star added: "I get a tattoo when things happen in my life that mean something. I'm not ashamed of anything. I've got nothing to rub away."
Cheryl endured a tough year in 2010; she split from Ashley, battled against malaria and was hit with controversy over the finalists she picked in the X Factor.
And in response to the criticism she's received since, she added: "I have taken so much s***. I've stopped listening to other people. I have had enough. I can't be under any more pressure than I've already been under."
We're all still waiting with bated breath for official confirmation but it's believed that Cheryl has accepted a £10million deal to be a judge on the US version of the X Factor.
