Cheryl's X Factor snub!

Cheryl Cole may risk her place on the US panel of the X Factor after reports claim the star has neglected her former finalists.

The 27-year-old judge and Girls Aloud star has apparently abandoned the aspiring pop stars since the talent show ended two months ago, failing to contact Rebecca Ferguson, Katie Waissel and semi-finalist Cher Lloyd.

And it's being claimed that her failure to do so could cost the Promise This singer's chance of being a judge on the US version of the hit ITV1 show, especially as US bosses are still concerned that she's not famous enough and viewers might not understand her soft Geordie accent.

All the other X Factor judges have been helping their acts, with Dannii Minogue advising winner Matt Cardle, Simon Cowell mentoring boy band One Direction and Louis Walsh taking care of Mary Byrne - who's set to release an album, Mine & Yours, next month.

The 50-year-old irish singer and former Tesco worker told The Sun:

"Matt has heard from Dannii, I'm sure the boys have been in touch with Simon, but I know Cheryl hasn't been in touch with any of the girls."

The final nine contestants are currently on the X Factor tour, with Mary commenting on Cher Lloyd:

"Cher's a completely different girl - she's looking after herself now. She's calmed down an awful lot. She still has her moments, but she's a young kid. She wants to reach for the stars, she wants it all."

It's being reported that Cheryl is keen to quit the X Factor over here and star on the US one, apparently signing up for a £10million deal to do so, and was pictured yesterday flying out to LA.

The star's spokesperson insisted that her being US bound was purely for her solo career, saying:

"Yes, she's going to LA, but she's going out there to work on some music."
