After reports this morning that Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem welcomed their first bundle of joy together, we can now reveal the gorgeous couple had a bouncing baby boy!
It had been claimed that the 36-year-old Vicky Cristina Barcelona star had given birth on Tuesday, the same day the 41-year-old actor, who also starred in the aforementioned Woody Allen film, was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar.
But according to Spanish newspaper El Pais, the baby boy was born at Cedars Sinai Hospital in L.A over the weekend, with Spanish magazine Hola revealing the baby's gender and claiming that the couple's family flew over from Spain for the birth. They were said to include Penelope's mother, brother and sister, and Bardem's mother.
Penelope first showed off her baby bump while filming alongside Johnny Depp in the upcoming Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in Puerto Rico last September. And just a few months prior to that, the Oscar-winning pair had secretly married in the Bahamas.
Gushing about her beau Bardem recently, she had said: "He's a friend and the best actor in the world."
The twosome are fiercely protective over their private life, so we may have to wait a little bit longer to find out their little boy's name...
