Former Another Level frontman Dane Bowers, who went out with Katie Price back in 2000, was arrested at 4am on Monday night near Jordan's Surrey mansion for suspected drink driving. But the singer told police that neither he nor his friend, who were both found to be over the limit, had been driving the car when it crashed in Surrey.
Bowers later said the car must have been stolen and that Jordan was their alibi.
A police source said: "They were taken to a station to work out who was driving — and that is when Mr Bowers said Jordan could give him an alibi.
"Exactly what he was doing with Jordan is not part of the investigation. She is just needed to verify he was where he was when he said.
"She will be asked if Mr Bowers drove away from the address or if she understands the car was taken."
