'Harry potter' star Daniel Radcliffe denies smoking cannabis following allegations in the Daily Mirror
Daniel Radcliffe has hit back at claims in the Daily Mirror today that alleged he was smoking cannabis at a party. The tabloid printed a photograph of the 20-year-old 'Harry Potter' star holding what they allege to be a joint and also claimed that the actor informed party-goers at the North London house-warming bash: "I love weed."
A guest at the party also said: "Daniel was laughing and seemed to find it funny. He looked spaced out and didn’t look like he knew what was going on."
She added: “I was surprised by his behaviour.”
Last year the actor, worth an estimated £30 million from the 'Harry Potter' franchise, had said: “I’ve been around some amazing people and still managed to keep a real childlike view of the world. I’m not into drugs.”
And now his spokesperson has come to his defence to deny the allegations and release the following statement: "Daniel does smoke the occasional roll-up cigarette, but he was not doing anything more than this."
The actor is currently filming the last of the 'Harry Potter' movies, 'Deathly Hallow', which will be released in two parts.
