Although we're constantly being inundated with reports of rivalry, backstabbing and bitching between X Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue plus all the press over who's wearing the best outfit on the ITV1 show, Dannii has spoken of her closeness with the star.
The 38-year-old Aussie star has also spoken of the 27-year-old Promise This singer's support during tough times, telling Marie Claire: "Cheryl’s always been there for me when I’ve had a hard time."
And although none of the judges have much spare time to socialise together, she continued: "Cheryl said to me the other day, ‘I don’t know how you’re doing all this. I know how crazy it is when all the contestants are running in and out and I have no make-up on. And then I think of you trying to fit in feeding the baby as well."
Dannii also said that she'd love to see Cheryl in a dress from her new clothing range with business partner Tabitha Somerset Webb called Project D, adding: "I'd definitely like to see her in a Project D dress - I have a hummingbird one I think would look gorgeous on her and I'd love to see Rebecca [Ferguson] in one of our looks."
Meanwhile, following reports that Cheryl is set to judge on the US version of the X Factor with music mogul and fellow judge Simon Cowell, friend and dancer Derek Hough is said to be ecstatic that she will be living in near him in LA.The pair have never confirmed a romantic relationship, but Cheryl recently flew over to the Sunshine State and met up with the Dancing With The Stars performer.
His stepfather Aaron Nelson has since told The Sun: "Cheryl is looking at moving over here, which will be good for Derek. I'm not sure exactly what they have decided about living together. It's his business.When things got difficult for Cheryl, she came over to be with him. Derek's pretty level-headed most of the time. He's a good guy. He's always been a good guy and he's very supportive.She feels indebted to him - all to do with the fact that he is kind to her. He supports her, but that is Derek's nature. He's a cheerleader for her. He just wants to see her do well."
He added: "Derek knows what's been going on. [Cheryl] came over to see him a few weeks ago. I can say that when you love someone you want to be around them and that's why he likes her."
The US X Factor is set to start in spring next year.
