After returning from maternity leave to mentor the boys this time round, Dannii has claimed that if Cheryl Cole comes close to winning again, she will team up with Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh to ensure that someone new is victorious in 2010.
According to MTV, she exclaimed:
"We are fiercely competitive and I'm sure sparks will be flying again this year. It would completely devastating if anyone won it three years in a row, wouldn't it?... If Cheryl gets close to it by the end of the year, we're going to have to band together for sure."
But that might not be necessary for the new mum - she's landed XF faves Matt Cardle, Aiden Grimshaw and Italian diva Nicolo Festa in her category.
Essex boy Matt has emerged the hot face to take the title, with former favourite to win Cher Lloyd dropping to second place.
A source for bookies William Hill claimed:
"Matt is not just a great singer but there is a good story behind him too. We are convinced that the public will love him."
But as we all know, anything can happen between now and Christmas (we've still not gotten over our favourite Lucie being kicked out of the competition so early last year).
