Madonna is reportedly banned from spending the night at Guy Ritchie's house for Christmas
Christmas is supposed to be a time for letting bygones be bygones and having love for your fellow man, but it seems that the festive spirit hasn't caught on yet in the Ritchie household.
After learning earlier this week that Madge and Guy would be putting their differences to one side for the sake of giving their kids a happy Christmas, we now learn that Guy doesn't want Madonna to stay the night when she brings her family to their former country retreat, Ashcombe House in Wiltshire.
A source said: "Guy is desperate to see the children on Christmas Day and was OK with them all spending the day at Ashcombe.
"He was even willing to have Madonna there and try to be civilised for the sake of the children. But having her stay over was just too much. He couldn't bear the thought of her padding round the kitchen next morning like old times — there are too many sad memories.
"If one of them doesn't back down, it could be a very unhappy Christmas. It seems they were a bit over optimistic to think they could call a truce."
If the World War I soldiers could have a Christmas truce, surely a couple of multi-millionaires can have a go?
