Jack Tweed, the widow of Big Brother star Jade Goody, is set to stand trial for the alleged rape of a 19-year-old girl.
Reports in this afternoon have confirmed that the 22-year-old, along with his 25-year-old friend Anthony Davis, will stand trial in April next year. The pair were accused of sexually assaulting the teenager earlier this year after they met at a club in the West end before returning to Tweed's flat in east London.
The model-turned-club-promoter, who is currently in custody where he will remain until the trial, will plead not guilty to the charges and appear via a video link.
Tweed, who married Jade after he discovered she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, a battle she lost in March this year, was sentenced to 18-months in prison for the attack 16-year-old in September last year. He was released early only to be sent back in April this year for assaulting a cab driver.
