Jade Goody finally married Jack Tweed in a moving ceremony which saw the terminally ill star give a 30-minute speech to friends and family. The happy couple tied the knot in a 14th-century Down Hall Country House in Hatfield Essex, with Jade being walked up the aisle by grandfather John Caddock.
And the star said in a heartbreaking speech that she was "praying for a miracle."
Jade added:
I hope we can come back here in a few years time. I never want to leave any of you.
Her family were moved to tears as husband Jack announced:
Look at my beautiful wife. Im proud to say Im your husband.
As the marriage was confirmed, doves were released into the sky above the country house. Jade's publicist Max Clifford said:
The chapel was beautiful and it was a very moving service.
Jade looked lovely. She didnt want to wear a wig. She was bald and proud. The ceremony had lots of tears, smiles and laughter.
Jade was just herself. She was telling Jack, Youre not looking at me Jack, make sure youre looking at me. And of course he was.
"They said their vows with the children on their knees. Some of Jades ad-libs were hilarious.
She would have been in a lot of pain but for the measures put in place. Its a huge relief she was able to handle it as she did.
A friend of Jade added:
"It was Jades dying wish to marry Jack. But shes so selfless and wants him to be happy. Shes told him he should see other people when he feels the time is right.
Congratulations to Jade and Jack and we wish the married couple all the best.
