Jamie Archer is the latest X Factor contestant to leave the show
While John and Edward (and stage invader Calvin Harris) continue to dominate the headlines, poor old Jamie Archer is quietly packing his suitcase - the wannabe has become to sixth contestant to get voted off the show after finding he found alongside Lloyd Daniels in the bottom two during Queen week.
As both acts had two votes each from the judges, the result went to deadlock (again!), which meant it was over to the public, who favoured Lloyd.
On hearing the result, Jamie, who performed The Show Must go On, said:
"I just want to thank everyone who supported me and it's not the end, it's the beginning."
While his mentor Simon added:
"I'm sorry for Jamie. I let him down, probably, with the song choice. It's just one of the things. The brilliant thing is he's had a platform, millions of people know his name.
"We had a few spats but he's a great guy, a genuinely nice person, and I think he's got a great future ahead of him."
Can the same be said for Jedward?
