This isn't actually that surprising considering Kate Middleton lived in Jordan for nearly three years back when she was a toddler in the mid-80s - part of her heart clearly stayed there… According to reports, the historic site of Petra and the valley of Wadi Run in Jordan are on her and Prince William's travel itinerary after the royal wedding.
The Sunday Telegraph claims the Middle Eastern country is the couple's "preferred option," and they are "believed" to have booked a special tour of the historic sites in a week-long break.
The paper also says the pair may spend some time in the UK, possibly in Scotland, which will certainly be cheaper (Wills' gran has a small pad there her can borrow called Balmoral).
It was previously reported that the newlyweds were heading to Australia for their honeymoon after Wills said "maybe we'll have a honeymoon in Cairns" whilst Down Under on royal duty. Hope he didn't get the locals hopes up too much!
