Katie Holmes has defended her decision to allow her cute as a button daughter with actor Tom Cruise three-year-old Suri to wear heels. And although they aren't exactly six-inch Jimmy Choos worn by the likes of a bunion addled Victoria Beckham, some have branded it inappropriate for a child to wear such shoes and others have claimed that they could be detrimental to her physical development.
A New York foot doctor had commented: "A common side effect of adults wearing heels too often is the tightening or shortening of the Achilles tendon."
So 30-year-old Hollywood actress Katie has responded to the criticism and insisted that Suri's shoes are supportive, telling Access Hollywood: "Like every little girl, she loves my high heels. They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids. I found them for her and she loves them."
She added that Suri "loves dancing and singing" and that "she's just a joy" so who are we to suggest her beloved heels be taken away?
