Katie Price's once flourishing business empire could be facing financial strain following her divorce from Aussie singer Peter Andre. Yes, her wild partying, cruel comments about Peter and that speedy relationship with the now dumped Alex Reid could have had a detrimental effect on business, according to industry experts.
One source is claiming that her perfume Stunning is "doing very badly", her bed linen (yep, she has her name on that too) isn't being sold in some stores because it wasn't selling and some of her children books have only sold 50 copies.
The mother-of-three's lingerie line for Asda is currently "under review" and her recent book, 'Standing Out' has only sold 41,000 copies, compared to her earlier biography, 'Being Jordan', which shifted over 750,000 copies during the peak of her career.
The source added: "Although Katie's been everywhere in the press, we're not really seeing this transfer into sales. Perhaps there have simply been too many books and other products that have saturated the market. It does make you wonder if her appeal has peaked."
Meanwhile, Katie is also in trouble with Alex Reid's mother, Carol. She has criticised the star for her insensitivity over dumping Alex on live TV and lambasted: "He really loved her and gave up a lot for her. And this is how he gets treated by her! It seemed very cruel the way she spoke about Alex. He must be upset. I'm worried for him."
