While Katy Perry's split with Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy didn't involve blood, black eyes, swollen lips or arrests, she does know what it's like to break up with someone close to you and has been using the experience to help fellow singer Rihanna.
Katy has been playing the role of good friend doing her best to cheer up Rihanna by taking her on nights out.
A source said: "Katy was there when Rihanna needed her the most and as terrible as the stuff with Chris is, at least one good thing has come of it.
"Both of them have had man troubles recently so they are enjoying having some girlie time."
The plan is that the girls will soon go on a flash holiday to Puerto Rico - please invite us too!
