After her roles in Friends, War of the Worlds and I am Sam, we find it hard to think of Dakota Fanning as anything but a little cutie-pie, but she's definitely shedding her child-star image now!
Alongside Twilight star Kristen Stewart, the 16-year-old can be seen in the upcoming Joan Jett biopic The Runaways - although her age has still been a bit of an issue, as her co-star found. Talking to Access Hollywood, Kristen spoke about the challenges she faced when filming a steamy girl-on-girl scene between both characters:
"She [Dakota] was 15, and I wasn't allowed to grope her. I'm actually not kidding, there are major restrictions that I don't remember (from) when I was younger.
"I don't want to give anything way. It's a really passionate, hardcore scene."
At least it helped the girls bond - Kristen later revealed:
"Working this closely with someone, you can't help but really become bonded with them and it really helps when you actually like them and can become really good friends."
"I haven't really done a lot of movies with people close to my own age to have a good friend like that. So I was excited, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to do it with."
Aw, it's rare to see a child star graduate into adult roles without a few public scandals. Sounds like Kristen's a good mentor.
