The success of Lady Gaga shows no sign of waning… The star stormed the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles last night, taking home eight prizes, the second highest in the event’s history (Peter Gabriel holds the record).
And proving that even after 18 months of controversy, where she's worn everything from a meat bikini to a telephone on her head, she can still shock us, she arrived at the event looking almost demure, wearing a regal gown (well, she was the queen of the night).
Addressing the crowd while picking up her third prize, she announced:
"I was so nervous for tonight that I would let my fans down."
No chance of that!
