Is there no limit to the success of Leona Lewis? She has just broken the record for the fastest selling digital release ever for a song that she never even planned to release as a single.
And Snow Patrol must be pretty happy too as they will receive a fair percentage of the 131,593 copies sold, as they originally wrote the track, 'Run'.
The previous record holder for a digital-only release was Estelle's 'American Boy', which sold a measly 51,857 in comparison.
Leona knocked Take That's 'Greatest Day' off the top of the chart but TT had more than enough consolation as their fifth album, 'The Circus', destroyed the competition in the album chart, racking up the third most first week sales in history (behind Oasis's 1997 album 'Be Here Now' and Coldplay's 'X&Y') to top the chart.
Take that, credit crunch!
