Too bad that she's retiring from pop - Lily Allen has received TWO songwriting nominations for the 2010 Ivor Novello Awards...
Her hit The Fear will compete for the Best Song Musically & Lyrically and Most Performed Work prizes at the 55th annual ceremony to be held in London next month, which recognises excellence in British music writing.
Meanwhile, her former tourmate Dizzee Rasca has also scored a double nominations - his track Bonkers is up for Best Contemporary Song and his Tongue N' Cheek LP is on the Album Award shortlist.
Other songs on the list include Girls Aloud's The Promise, La Roux's In For The Kill and James Morrison's Broken Strings.
Perhaps this praise will convince the songstress to stay in the business - although she's certainly got the credentials to run her own record label now.
