Lily Allen tells her tour manager who's boss when it come to sitting next to her on a plane
The top dog on any pop tour is always the tour manager, not including the star themselves of course, and Lily Allen has had to remind her tour manager just who is boss.
Trouble started when Lily, who is touring the world to promote new album 'It's Not Me, It's You' realised that her tour manager was taking the business class seat next to her every time and decided that wasn't fair on the rest of the crew.
She told the unlucky tour manager: "I’m the boss here."
Speaking to a radio station in Australia, where she is on tour, she explained: "The record label pick up the bills. I have now discovered that I get to choose who sits with me at the front while everyone else sits in economy.
"My tour manager never quite got around to telling me this piece of information and has been booking himself to sit alongside me at the pointy end every time."
She then joked: "I have wanted to tell him for ages that he smells. I thought it was bad cologne at first but now I know that it’s a too-much-alcohol-not-enough-sleep-and-no-shower smell.
"I want to introduce a sort of employee of the week award where one of the band or a roadie can sit with me at my choosing."
"It would be someone who has excelled or needs a treat."
But speaking of treats, it seems that Lily hasn't been getting any of the sexual variety while on tour.
She said: "It’s nice to have sex with people you love. I’m not really a promiscuous person. I haven’t slept with many people and on a promotional trip you don’t get a chance to meet or shag anyone, and I don’t like one-night stands."
