Lily Allen claims she suffers from an anxiety disorder which makes her believe that she is much larger than she is
Poor old Lily Allen has faced criticism over her weight in recent months - most significantly with the Daily Mail focusing on snaps of her dimpled-looking thighs, so it's not surprising that the singer is feeling sensitive about her figure. However, what might shock is the fact that she has told fashion bible Love that she suffers from body dysmorphia, which makes her think she much bigger than she is.
In an interview with the magazine, the singer claims:
"I think I look like Michelle McManus."
"The reason the fashion world has embraced me is because I lost a stone-and-a-half last year. They probably wouldn’t have when I was heavier.
"I've been on shoots where it's been, 'Lunchtime! OK, Lily, do you want a cigarette?', instead of eating lunch.
"Don't make me feel guilty about the way I look. Compare me to Kate Moss and all of those supermodels and, yes, I probably am on the podgy side. But in reality I'm fine."
Unfortunately for Lily, the particular issue of Love (out today) features eight supermodels on the front cover! Just try not to compare - it's not fair...
