Lindsay Lohan certainly hasn't started the New Year as she means to go on. The 23-year-old actress-turned-designer has had her sketches for the star's new clothing line stolen by close friend Patrick 'Pootie' Aufdenkamp.
A friend of Lohan's told UsMagazine.com: "Patrick stole Lindsay's sketches for her new 6126 clothing line. He is now running off trying to do his own line and telling people he's going to fashion market week in NYC on February 18 to debut his line."
It was claimed at the end of last year that Lohan was preparing to expand her 6126 leggings line into a full clothing collection for Autumn 2010. And despite the backlash she received for her role as artistic advisor for fashion house Emanuel Ungaro, she is set to continue with her position.
The source continued: "It's horrible. He was her best friend. He has always used her, and she's been warned to never trust him. Lindsay is a good friend and likes to see the good in people. She didn't want to believe how bad Patrick's energy was, and how false his friendship has always been with her."
Lohan, who had been friends with Aufdenkamp (whom she endearingly referred to as 'Pootie'), has spoken exclusively with Usmagazine.com to take responsibility for the incident and add: "I should've known better. But new year for me and a new beginning! Health, happiness, success and love!"
Good for Lohan for not dwelling on the negative and keeping things in perspective. Here's to drama-free 2010 for Li-Lo...
