According to the Daily Mail, the troubled star is at risk of her probation because she is regularly drinking a fermented tea called Kombucha tea, which has an alcohol content of 0.5 per cent or less.
There's a joke somewhere about her being in hot water...
Linds, who is currently deciding whether to accept a plea deal in her felony theft case, also caused concern earlier this week when she was photographed out and about at several social events around New York, where she has now based herself to be close to her family.
According to TMZ, though, she was not served alcohol at any of the events, something that Lindsay herself has adamantly reiterated, telling them:
"I did not drink... period. I do not drink... period."
