Cynics might suggest that she's permanently got a pair of shades on her nose to hide her face, but we think Madge just likes to wear sunnies because it's the sensible thing to do (although that might not explain why she was recently snapped donning them at night).
Anyway, our point is, there's no one better (aside from Anna Wintour perhaps) than the queen of pop to design a range of sunglasses, so it's not really surprising that her pals Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have invited her into the studio to work on this summer's new line.
Talking to WWD, Gabbana explained:
"We're so excited. This further strengthens our relationship with Madonna, and it was a very constructive experience for us. She is very exacting and a professional who seeks perfection in everything she does, and this was no exception."
According to Vogue, the collection, which will be produced and distribute by Luxottica, Dolce & Gabbana's eyewear licensee, will go on sale this May retailing from 180 to 210 at Dolce & Gabbana stores worldwide and at the Sunglass Hut.
Madge can already be seen modeling in D&G's current ready to wear campaign, and she's also got her own clothing line coming our with Macy's - what a busy Material Girl.
