Mariah Carey gushes about marriage to Nick Cannon and claims hubby would make the 'best dad in the world'
We're so glad Mariah Carey has finally settled down with the man of her dreams. And is that the pitter-patter of tiny feet we can hear? Not quite, but the 39-year-old star has been gushing about husband Nick Cannon and how the 29-year-old rapper-turned-actor would make a fantastic father.
Mariah, who wed Nick last year after a whirlwind romance, was attending the UNICEF Snowball charity ball when she declared to reporters: "He'd [Nick] be the best dad in the whole world!"
And on her charity work, the singer said: "We have to take care of children. Any time I can be a part of helping out, I'm here."
The star refused to make any further comment on the possibility of starting a family but spoke of her spontaneous marriage to Nick and enthused: "People were surprised when we got married but it felt like the right thing to do and it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for us.
"I definitely feel more complete than before. There's a void you have when you don't feel you've found the other part of who you are, so I'm in a different place now and that's nice to experience.
"I think being able to collaborate with Nick and being in a really great place in my life is having a great impact on my music."
