Stars pay last respects to Alexander McQueen at funeral
Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Stella McCartney and Lady Gaga joined the friends and family of the late Alexander McQueen to pay their final respects to the fashion legend yesterday.
Following a post-mortem examination which confirmed the 40-year-old died from asphyxiation, guests gathered at London's St Paul's Church for an hour-long funeral service to commemorate the life of the style star.
Although it was a private service, a representative for McQueen's label reveals a public memorial will be held later this year but company executives will not finalise details for the event until after Paris Fashion Week next month, when the designer's latest collection will go on display.
Talking to Women's Wear Daily, a spokesperson explained:
"We are focusing right now on the Paris show, which takes place on March 9."
