We've got so caught up the new series of Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty that we'd almost forgotten about Mischa Barton's lost fashion drama - but the actress has spoken out about the great loss, telling Heat magazine how devastated she was when The Beautiful Life was given the axe by the CW network after just two episodes:
"It was all so political. They didnt give it a chance. Im sure it would have found its audience because it was a great show and was really high fashion.
"It takes a while for stuff to find a following. I feel more bad for the other girls in it, because it deserved to be seen."
She's certainly got the fanbase - she also told the magazine about how surprised she was by the support she received during her stint in the psychiatric wing of a hospital, claiming:
"I think everyone was worried. The fans believe the stuff they read and you forget that. I was quite surprised at how concerned people were "
It's just a shame that those people weren't in the show's test audiences...
